Why Hire The Unity Coach?

The first thing you probably want to know is ‘who am I’. And then you probably want to know ‘what I can do for you’. Then, you’re probably going to ask about my credibility as a coach. This is where I start to answer this for you. I’d like to add that a 5-minute phone call (however scary that might sound) would answer that with far more clarity then a 5-minute read of a blog. If picking up the phone isn’t scary then contact me now.

What am I known for?

I’m known for being someone who “inspires from the inside rather than a carrot on a stick”. I’m playful yet calm in nature which makes me approachable yet daring. I have a huge admiration for anything natural and nature based and this leads me to creating spaciousness that allows clients to radiate out. My training in martial arts and PYSCH-K (Changing subconscious beliefs though embodiment) lead me to being a huge ambassador for finding wisdom in the body. In fact, embodiment is one of the most important aspects of my coaching practice.

I’m known for:

  • Uplifting the client, giving you a clear view of the challenges you face
  • Re-aligning the body and psyche’s energy, setting an authentic meaningful direction
  • Inciting a change in you towards a clear future vision
  • Creating a clear, step by step, path that moves you from the present you to the future you

What else do I do?

The coaching I offer creates a ‘felt’ experience by that I mean: A physical sensation of the change in energy. It’s an embodiment coaching and it’s powerful because you can take that physical sensation and tune into it any time you need it. Very much like working out a muscle, I train you to work out an energy that will serve you in creating positive transformation.

I can deepen your spiritual practices. As a spiritual coach I can work with you to create daily rituals which will ensure you’re on the specific spiritual path that is calling you.

I teach traditional Chinese martial arts and provide classes and 1-2-1 tuition. This angle gives me a unique perspective into eastern philosophy, Taoism, Zen meditation, Traditional Chinese medicine and self-defence. As well as a deep understanding of the body, energy and alignment.

I’m also somewhat of an expert in Coffee, having run two café’s and dived deep into speciality coffee and sustainable coffee practices. I still train barista’s and provide support for cafés.

What are my core values

What I can do for you

The key questions I get asked in coaching can be summarised as:

  • How do I create this change?
  • This keeps me up at night, what should I do?
  • What is my life purpose?
  • How do I overcome this barrier?
  • How do I stop listening to my negative self-talk?

Firstly, I create awareness. Change is not easy without a deep knowing of what can change, what cannot change, the barriers to change (internal and external), what qualities and values will help you change, and what saboteurs will try to hold you back.

“We co-create a clear vision for the best future version of you. We get to know the target, we take aim.”

Jon Younghusband

We then create a clear path to change with specific goals which will deepen the learning and make the change stick. These are not just external check list of things to do, they are deep internal changes of how you want to be.

I will ensure you embody the change so that you have a felt experience that will stay with you and not fizzle out after a few weeks. It needs to be a permanent change, right?

We make change sacred; we do this by making small rituals – kind of like habits but with a more ‘mindful’ approach. A Ritual is symbolic, mindful and focuses on how you will be whereas a habit is what you will do and mindless in comparison.

At the end of the day, I will coach you, not the issue. I will move you from the present you to the ideal future you. Know that the whole of you is lovingly invited on a deep, emotionally revealing journey where your past will make sense, your future will excite you and you will connect with the aliveness of now.

Credibility

I started coaching many years ago as in internal coach for a large organisation. I was trained internally as part of the management development programme. Although, I’d rather focus on the most recent training from Co-Active Training Institute (CTI). This training rocketed my skills as a coach and allowed me to focus on very specific aspects of how to make internal, meaningful and long-lasting changes though coaching.

I have since finished all of the advanced training from CTI and completed 100+hrs of training and coaching.

Apologies for all the jargon and credentials listed below. It’s really important to show up in search results for business coaching and I’m actually very proud of the achievements so far and the path into coaching that I’ve taken.

Now, I work towards my CPCC (Certified Professional Co-Active Coach), the industry’s most comprehensive certification. Once completed I automatically meet all requirements for the ACC (Associate certified Coach) which is the industry standard with the ICF (International Coaching Federation).

Furthermore, I offer short free demo coaching sessions to those genuinely interested (in building a professional coaching relationship) so that you can see for yourself.

Testimonials

I would certainly recommend you to anyone wishing to explore themselves or anyone having difficulties with their life choices.

after the meeting I felt quite relaxed, calm and clear minded. I think the fact we identified how my very focused and determined mind doesn’t always give scope for my feelings and quite rightly you identified that I was blocking my feelings in favour of my continued drive to achieve.

I felt very comfortable under your supervision examining different thoughts and scenarios even though they made me feel quite emotional at times and I thought you were very quick to pick up on everything and had a good insight and understanding as to what and how I was feeling. I’m not sure if that was good training, intuition or a bit of both.

Reflecting on myself and thinking about my internal behaviour is truly inspiring and a terrific journey. I can highly recommend to start it. When you do, be sure you have a reliable partner on your side, like Jon, who helps you not to get lost and to keep a clear image where you are.

Suddenly things are clearer for me and make sense when in the past I was slightly confused. Drilling into the different saboteurs and discovering the allies I have is a game-changer of which I benefit massively from.

It feels like walking through a slightly light room with a very good friend who helps you to point out certain elements. You are never alone in this room and there has never been any pressure. The theme has always been very encouraging and supportive.

Jon’s way of asking and to look at things from different angles is really useful to get a complete picture of the different topics I have. It feels like Jon has a huge toolbox of different methods and uses them precisely how it is needed.

Jon discovers an interesting unconscious behaviour of me and suddenly we dig deeper into a topic which I would have thought of being irrelevant when in reality, it triggers a lot in me.

I have been coached by Jon for over 2 months now and got to say the journey we embarked on is fantastic.

“Know that the whole of you is lovingly invited on a deep, emotionally revealing journey where your past will make sense, your future will excite you and you will connect with the aliveness of now.”
